YenGear has equipped a customer's orchid greenhouse with a Y951 Smart Remote Control Cabinet, environmental sensors and YenGear IoT Cloud.

Y951 distributes power and switches two supplemental lighting circuits and one fan circuit. Sensors measure temperature, relative humidity and illuminance. While the cabinet is online, IoT Cloud rules trigger Y951 to turn on supplemental lighting when light levels are low and start the fan when temperature is high.

At the cabinet, staff view readings and operate equipment through an industrial touchscreen. Physical selectors have On, Off and Remote positions. Remote is the automatic mode in this installation.

Staff use mobile and web interfaces to check current readings, review humidity history and control equipment remotely. Remote control requires the cabinet to stay online.

Local manual control remains available when site power is normal.
